Michael Tierney, a native of Minnesota, attended the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he received a degree in business administration.

After graduating from St. Thomas, Michael relocated to New York City where he enrolled at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. It was at this time that he began a steady series of stints working as an actor in New York, Minneapolis and Los Angeles.

It was also during this period, first in New York and later in Los Angeles, that Michael began his association with casting companies and directors, including Lisa Fields, ASG, Sheila Manning, and Joe Blake, among others.

Initially, he worked primarily as a session runner directing auditions for casting directors. Eventually, he found his ability to seek out and work with talent to be extremely rewarding. This, in turn, ignited a new passion and eventually MTierney Casting was born.

Working with actors to tell a story and to move audiences, either through commercials, short films or feature length movies, is a primary reason that Michael decided to become a performer. He still continues to capture performances, only now he's doing it behind the scenes.

Neill McCutcheon, a former creative in advertising, has now brought his talents to MTierney Casting.

Through the years, working as a creative for agencies such as D'Arcy Worldwide, Merkley Newman Harty and McCann Erickson, Neill was instrumental in developing commercials for a diverse list of clients including Esprit, Bloomingdale's, Crest, L'Oreal, Prilosec, QVC, Thermacare, and Fixodent. In addition, he has also directed promotional reels for Joseph Abboud and Bizalion's Fine Foods.

His interest in directing eventually led Neill to pursue work in film and video. He finds great pleasure in taking an idea from concept to life and keenly involving himself in everything from the casting of actors and talent to cinematography and production design.

It is this eye for details, honed and brought into sharper focus through his years of experience, which he brings to MTierney Casting.
